Kimberly made her grand entrance on September 1st, 1975. She was the third child born to Josephine Aranda and Roy Doty and awaiting her arrival were sister Edith Spinks and brother Guadalupe Jr. She married her loving soul mate John in October 1991. Their son Levi Zachariah Hopkins Fennell was born a year later. While taking care of her husband and son, she also obtained her accounting degree. She loved and always made time for her nieces Christine and Julie and nephew Royce. Always by her side were her four-legged “kids”, dogs Cotton, Abby, Gunter, Daphne, Lucy and Charlie and her cat Calvin. Kimberly and family continued to live in Bastrop until being displaced by the Bastrop County Wildfires. They have spent the last nine months in Wimberley. Plans were in place for their return summer 2012. Kimberly always had a passion for animals and those with special needs, striving to support, adopt and assist always! She thoroughly enjoyed her time at BISD with all of the students. Kimberly always put her family first and was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her talents were endless, proud of her pink tools, crocheting, cooking, scrapbooking and creating amazing flowers from a seed. She is also survived by her grandmother, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all over the area. Although she left us too soon, June 27th 2012, we will miss her smile, great sense of humor, enthusiasm and zest for life. She touched many lives in her short time with us. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 7, 2012 at the American Legion in Bastrop, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated. A fund has been set up at this location http://www.indiegogo.com/fennellfund or mail memorials to Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home at PO Box 745 in Bastrop, Texas 78602.
