Marjorie Lawson

Born in Houston TX on August 24th 1926, she and her husband, Raymond Lawson were residents of La Grange Texas for over 25yrs. While in La Grange, Margie wrote and photographed human-interest stories for The La Grange Journal and later The Banner Press. She had her own column titled “Glimpse Into The Past”. Also, a member of The La Grange Women’s Club and an avid genealogist, she researched multiple families over many generations.

A loving mother and Christian, Margie was a member of the McDade Baptist Church and is survived by son Ron Isaacks, daughter in-law, Bonnie Isaacks, daughter Jeanette Waldrop, step sons Michael, Harold and Jesse Lawson. Grandchildren, Cory and Casey Waldrop, Cody and Cassidy Isaacks, step grandchildren Meagan and Ryan Lawson, Kenneth, Michael and Charlie Reilly and great granddaughter Jaelynn Deforest.

Memorial service will be held 11AM, Saturday, May 25th at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home located at

505 Old Austin Highway, Bastrop TX 78602.
