

Nicholas Andrew Dozier, of Bastrop, passed away on May 12, 2013 at age 31. He was born in Decatur, IL on December 4, 1981 to Michael Andrew Dozier and Elizabeth Ann Dozier. Nick is survived by his parents and his two sisters, Angela (Dozier) Borgman and Candace Dozier. He is also survived by his grandfather Jerry Rosenberger. He was loved dearly by his late grandmothers Sally Jo Rosenberger and Marilyn Dozier.
At age 16, Nick was injured in a car accident that left him paralyzed. He had to overcome many obstacles during his life, but he never gave up. He accomplished his goals of graduating with his class from Bastrop High School in 2000 and attending the University of Houston. He attended several rehabilitation camps such as the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, Shake-A-Leg in Rhode Island, and Camp for All in Brenham, Texas.
Nick loved movies, live music, the beach and all things associated with sports. He especially loved the Dallas Cowboys, watching basketball, golf and boxing.
He had a larger than life personality and enjoyed cracking jokes whenever possible. He loved talking politics, discussing life philosophies and keeping up with current events.
His family hosted a visitation on Friday, May 17 at 10:00 am at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 am. Nicholas was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery
