Alice Dale Collins Fazio

Alice Fazio passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011. She was 95 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Tuesday, Aug. 9, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Deacon Richard Grant. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by her daughter, Jessie Fazio Thompson and husband Chuck; nephew raised as a son, Mickey Hargus; son-in-law, Wilbert "Nink" Soule; daughter-in-law, Lisa Cashio Fazio; grandchildren, Thomas Fazio and wife Tammy, Sally Fazio Kidd and companion Don, Sindey Fazio Chaky and husband Joel, Stephen Thompson, Jeff Thompson and wife Tina, Don R. Capron Jr. and wife Kerry, Amber Soule Patterson and husband Glenn, Aimee Soule Yoches and husband Brian, Wil Soule; 21 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, John William Bates Collins and Mary Collins Haymon; husband, Francis "Fuzzy" Fazio; sister, Bernice Hargus; son, Sydney D. Fazio; daughter, Lynn Fazio Soule; nephew raised as a son, Lionel Darce; grandson, Scott Thompson. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Clare Manor and Hospice Associates for the excellent care and services that were provided. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
