"Born in New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, Allen died peacefully on Friday, April 6, 2018. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on board the USS Coral Sea. Allen worked for Shell Oil and later for the Louisiana Department of Retirement. He loved the theater and was involved in many local productions. After having a speaking role in "The Badge" filmed in Louisiana, Allen fulfilled his dream by moving to L.A. to pursue acting. An amazing brother, uncle and cousin, with a great sense of humor, he will be missed by all. Allen is survived by his brothers, Bill (Karen), Michael, and James "Jed"; sister-in-law, Donna Henderson; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St, on Tuesday, April 10, from 12pm until dismissal at 2pm. Burial with Navy Honors at Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, at 2:30 pm.
