Eccl. 3:1 Allen James Lockwood passed away into glory on Monday, Nov. 11th, Veterans Day, at his home in Baton Rouge with his family by his side. He was 86 years old. He was loved by all who met him and truly a hero to everyone who knew him. He was a Hospital Corpman during World War II and the Korean War and was truly proud to have served his country. He is survived by his brother Charles Lockwood (Judie), his daughter Nancy Lockwood, daughter-in-law Rebecca F. Coxe, and granddaughters Catherine Dawn Coxe (Courtney) and Robyn Noelle Coxe. He is preceded in death by his wife Billie Ruth Davis Coxe Lockwood, son Jeffery Allan Coxe, parents Allan and Ethel Lockwood, and brothers Joseph "Box" Lockwood, Louis "Jack" Lockwood, and John Lockwood. A celebration of life will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov.16th . Viewing from 11am till 2pm with service starting at 2pm with Chaplain Mike Tippit officiating. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
