Andrew A. Dentro

A beloved brother, uncle and friend who was dearly loved by everyone who knew him, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, at his home. A native and resident of Baton Rouge, Andrew was 82, born Aug. 7, 1925. He was a retired pipefitter with Exxon Co. USA. He is survived by a brother, Sidney A. Dentro; sisters, Mary Grace Jones and her husband, Morris "Sonny" Jones, Anna Mae Dentro, and Cecile Nobles and her husband, L.J. Nobles, all of Baton Rouge; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Virgie Michelli Dentro; brothers, Sam R. Dentro, Joseph S. Dentro and Randolph "Randy" Dentro Jr.; sister, Virginia Dentro Atkinson and her husband, Edgar J. Atkinson; sister-in-law, Sara Dentro; niece, Virgie Nobles Gernant; and two nephews, Sidney Dentro Jr. and Ben Randall Dentro. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. until religious services in the chapel at noon, conducted by the Rev. Paul A. McDuffie. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Rusty Jones, Todd Jones, Jimmy Ray Dentro, Paul Wayne Dentro, Chuck Hunt and Bradley Myers. He will always be remembered for his loving acts of kindness and sharing.
