
A native of Lucedale, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at his home Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at age 67. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he played football and was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. He was a member and elder at First Presbyterian Church. He was retired from Regions Bank of Louisiana, where he served as CEO. He also served on the boards of Union Planters and Ollie Steele Burden Manor Foundation. He served as board member and chairman of Our Lady of the Lake, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Arts Council. He was a member of the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge, as well as many other foundations. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Aug. 4, at First Presbyterian Church in Baton Rouge, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Graveside service will be on Thursday at 11 a.m., at Lakewood Cemetery in Jackson, Miss. He is survived by a large and loving family, which includes his wife, Rosa Caldwell Huff; a son, Matt and wife Jerolyn, of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Kelly and husband Harald, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and two granddaughters, Claire Huff and Sudie Lucas. He is also survived by a brother, David Huff and wife Nina; a sister, Jeanne and husband Henry Henington, all of Leaksville, Miss.; an uncle, James Huff and wife Marilyn; aunts, Eloise Stringer, Maxine and husband Jimmy Reddock, Helen and husband G.L. Myrick, and Betty Huff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Scott Andrew Huff; and by his parents, Jack and Dot Huff. Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Coggin, Barney Jacks, Mike Sanders, Brooke Ferris, Bob Davidge, and Ned Clark.
