Andrew Poe

Andrew Poe was born on August 18, 1992 in Baton Rouge and passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Andrew, with his family, was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, where he served seven years as an altar server. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Murphy; his daughter, Oaklyn Rae Poe and her mother, Danielle Suzanne Hartman. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert V. Poe, Jr.; and his, godfather Charlie Murphy. He is greatly missed by all of his family, especially his many loving cousins and his godmother Cindy Murphy, his Aunt Joyce and Uncle Michael Murphy, Aunt Trudy and Uncle Jim LeBlanc and his Aunt Tina Turilli. Andrew attended grades 1-8 at Our Lady of Mercy and completed high school at Redemptorist. While on the Redemptorist baseball team, he played as pitcher and was also on the baseball team while attending LSU Eunice. His working life was spent in construction as a welder. A visitation for Andrew will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. A mass of christian burial will occur Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 10:00 AM, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. A burial will occur Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70806.
