
Andrew "Andy" William Lang passed away Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was surrounded by family members and will be missed greatly. The joy of Andy's life was his children and grandchildren and all of their interests and activities. He was an avid football fan of Penn State and LSU. He attended Bethany World Prayer Center until his health prevented him from attending. Andy was born in Amityville, N.Y., on Dec. 28, 1937. He raised his family in Easton, Pa., until 1980 when they relocated to Baton Rouge where he resided until his death. He retired from Shaw Corp. in 2003. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A service will follow the visitation. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Peter Lang and Helen Louise Rhyne. He is survived by his children, Andy and wife Tiffany, of Weathersfield, Vt., Jeff and wife Regina, of Benton, Denise Lang Curtis and husband Joel, of Boys Ranch, Texas, Kenny and wife Allison, of St. Gabriel; grandchildren, Andrea Lang, Kellie Lang, Emily Lang, Courtney Lang, Jeffrey Lang, Nathan Curtis, Kenneth Curtis, Taylor Lang, and Ashley Lang; and great"“grandchildren, Isabella and Adrianna. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Carol Roberts, as well as his sister, Arlene Lang Platania and husband John, of South Carolina. The family would like to give a special thanks to friends, Dr. Doug Kemp and neighbor Kenny.
