Ann Merritt LeBlanc Guercio, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away in the comfort of her lifelong home on July 19, 2025, at the age of 70, after fighting a courageous battle against cancer. Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Ann graduated from Louisiana State University in home economics, where she proudly served as Captain of the LSU Tigresses and member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Ann wore many hats throughout her life, — as an aerobics instructor and nutritionist, a personal shopper at Maison Blanche-Goudchaux's, a professional model, an antiques dealer, a community volunteer, an entertainer, and a socialite — she wore each with elegance and purpose. A fierce tennis player and loyal friend of Bocage Racquet Club, Ann found joy and community on the court and beyond. She gave generously of her time and talents, supporting causes such as Companion Animal Alliance, Cat Haven, Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, to name only a few of the many close to her heart. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Paul James "Jimmy" Jr. and Jane LeBlanc. She is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, Robert Guercio; her daughters, Merritt (Jim Voitier) and Mimi (Foster deGeneres); and her precious grandchildren, Robert and Jane Voitier. She is also survived by her brother, Conway LeBlanc, his wife, Terri, and their children, Benjamin and Susannah. She also leaves behind her cherished pets, treasured friends, and countless people whose lives she brightened. A visitation will start at 9:30am until mass at 11:30am Friday, July 25, 2025 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave. Immediate family will gather for a private internment at Roselawn Memorial Park. Following the burial, the family wishes to have an intimate reception for relatives and close friends at their home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Companion Animal Alliance, Cat Haven, Cancer Services of Baton Rouge, or Hospice of Baton Rouge.
