Anthony James Frederic

A part of me has just died. I just lost the love of my life, my best friend, my soul mate, my everything. After fighting his courageous battle with cancer AJ entered the Kingdom of Heaven May 16, 2013 surrounded by loving family and friends. AJ was only 59 years old born June 28, 1953 in Baton Rouge, La. He was a graduate of East Ascension High School. He lived his dream for seven years on 33 acres in Mississippi. He worked hard keeping our property beautiful and to perfection. His Mahindra tractor was his pride and joy. AJ retired from Exxon Mobil with 33 and half years of service. He proudly served as a member of the Exxon Mobil volunteer fire squad and was Safety Captain of Team 2. He was also a member of the Exxon Mobil Chemnet team. AJ was an avid fisherman and hunter as well as a jack of all trades. He could fix any and everything regardless how large or small and was eager to help anyone. When most people step back, as in a situation like ours, Vince Giaccone, along with his hunting buddies from Bellhaven Hunting Club stepped up and stood beside him in the most difficult and trying fight of his life. The camaraderie he shared with his hunting buddies was one of the most memorable and enjoyable times of his life. He is survived by his wife, his endless love of twenty one years Cindy Ricks Frederic and his four sons, Beau Frederic, Dain and Rachel Frederic, Gerren and Heidi Babin, Brandon Babin and daughter Tiffiny and husband Brady Moulard. One of his greatest joys were his nine grandchildren. He was known to them as "Pepaw". Savanna and Brayden Moulard, Brantly Babin, Ashlyn and Jordyn Frederic, Gracyn, Kenadie and Kenzlie Babin and adopted grandson Logan Breaux. Also survived by one sister Catherine and husband Winky Bercegeay, brothers Doyle and Cindy Frederic, Conrad and Beverly Frederic, Herman and Geraldine Frederic. Brother in laws Keith and Kim Ricks, Barry and Joy Ricks, Bradley and Kim Ricks and Godchild Nadine Frederic Leblanc and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Joseph P. and Violet Gautreau Frederic and infant brother Henry Frederic. Pallbearer's sons Gerren Babin, Beau Frederic, Dain Frederic, grandson Brantly Babin, Conrad and Doyle Frederic, Barry Ricks and Brady Moulard. Honorary pallbearer's Ray Ricks, Ronnie Baron, Vince Giaccone, Raymond Fugler and the Bellhaven hunting club members, Amos Smith, Richard Reed, Steve Petty, Jeff Miller, and Michael Guillory. Services will be held at Rabenhorst East Funeral Home on Sunday May 19, 2013. Visitation will be held from 10am to 2pm. Service to follow at 2pm with graveside service at Colyell Cemetery.
