
A native of Gulfort, MS and resident of Baton Rouge passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at the age of 87. He was born August 17, 1926 and attended the Gulfcoast Military Academy and then Biloxi High School. He then attended University of Southern Mississippi where he earned at BA in Business Administration and was a member of the tennis team. He also earned a Master’s degree in Education Administration. He served in the US Navy in WWII and served the Atlantic and Pacific Theater. He worked at the EBR School System for 13 years and then at Christian Life Academy as the Athletic Director and Assistant Principal. He was a member of American Legion, University Club, and The Gathering at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Christian Life Fellowship 2037 Quail Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70808 on Friday, September 20, 2013, from 9:30 AM until funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife Barbara June Coincon Prentiss; son, Armand E. Prentiss and wife, Lonie; daughter, Patricia Berry Norman; five grandchildren, Jonathan Prentiss Smith and wife, Aimee, Grace Prentiss LeBlanc and husband, Jacob, Evan Emanuel Prentiss, Anne Katherine Prentiss, and David Michael Prentiss; four great grandchildren, Luca Alexander Smith, Levi Gabriel Smith, Amelia Grace Leblanc, and Oliver Jude LeBlanc; brother, Dr. Pat Culbertson and wife, Margaret; and his beloved pet, Barney. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vera Craft Culbertson and Armand E. Prentiss Sr.
