

Arthur Fleming Milne Jr., lifelong resident of Norwood, LA, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, LA at the age of 89. He was born on March 5, 1926 in Norwood, LA. Arthur was a longtime member of Brookstown Baptist and Lanier Baptist Churches in Baton Rouge, and present member of Norwood Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a man of service. Arthur proudly served his country in the Army during WWII; he served his community as a fire fighter for the Baton Rouge City Fire Dept. for over 25 years when he retired; he served his fellow man as a carpenter for 45 years; and he served his family as a loving provider. Arthur had many hobbies like fishing, hunting, raising cattle and farming, but his focus was always providing for his family. He was a genuine and honorable person who will be missed dearly. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Carol Lawrence Milne; parents, Arthur Fleming Milne Sr. and Mary Christine Forbes Milne; sister, Anne Milne Wilson; brother-in-law, Herman Wilson; and son, Jerry Lee Milne. He is survived by his loving children, Janie Milne, Charles W. Milne and wife Jeanette Milne, and Peggy Milne and husband Greg Robbins; grandchildren, Charles Milne Jr. and wife Amy, Brian J. Milne, Jennifer Faber and husband Jason, Lee Milne and wife Julie, Jameson Russ Milne, and Shane Milne; and great grandchildren, Adian Milne, Ainslie Milne, Jacob Faber, and Jill Faber. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and will continue Friday, December 11, 2015 from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 12:00 pm.
