President of Allstate Financial and a resident of Greenwell Springs, Benjamin Carvin Berry died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009. He was 44 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Feb. 18, was from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Thomas Duhé, celebrant. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife of nine years, Lyn Beck Berry, of Greenwell Springs; parents, Benjamin F. and Ida Patricia Lawless Berry, of Greenwell Springs; daughter, Erica E. McCullough, of Greenwell Springs; son, Charles B. Sanchez, of Shreveport; stepson, David K. McCullough, of Denham Springs; sister, Jana Lynn Berry Lemoine and her husband, Joseph, of Greenwell Springs; brother, Troy Brandon Berry and his wife, Rachael, of Greenwell Springs; grandchild, Braxton McCullough; four nephews, Eric, Chris, Scott and Cade; two nieces, Lexie Lynn and Kailey; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. Pallbearers will be Kevin and Danny Beck, Brandon Sanchez, Troy Berry, Duane Black, Eric, Chris and Scott Salinas, Joey Lemoine and Charles Spedale. Ben was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Food Pantry.
