Bernice M Comeaux

Ms. Bernice Mary Comeaux, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away April 5, 2025 at the age of 90 years old. Bernice was born on November 8, 1934 in Northampton, England to parents, Herbert and Nellie Harris. She attended high school at Barry Road Modern Elementary, Northampton, England.

Ms. Bernice enjoyed being in several Pokeno groups, attending and contributor to VFW Zachary Taylor Post and was a retail clerk until her retirement from JCPenney’s.

She is survived by her daughter, Charmaine C and husband Jay Manuel; granddaughter, Dana C and husband Scott Pace, Brianne Callihan and Todd Mixon and Madison Comeaux; grandsons, Daniel L Callihan Jr., Brad Comeaux and wife Summer; great grandchildren, Brielle C Comeaux, Lane Mixon, Bryce Comeaux, McKenzie and husband Logan McCowen; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Roy Hollier, long time best friend, Pam and Sam Gensler and family from Kingwood, Texas.

Proceeded in death by husband of 52 years, Anthony Comeaux; son, Russell A Comeaux and daughter in law, Deborah M Comeaux; son in law, Daniel L Callihan Sr.; brother, Gordon H Harris, Northampton, England and parents, Henry H and Nellie S Harris, Northampton, England.

The family would like to thank Jimmy Copeland and family for graciously caring for Ms. Bernice.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., on Friday, April 11, 2025 from 9:00 am until service time of 11:00 am. Interment will follow at the Port Hudson National Cemetery, 20978 Port Hickey Rd. Zachary, LA. 70791.
