Betty Pourciau "Tootsie" Bellelo

"Betty "Tootsie" Pourciau Bellelo passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at the age of 79. She was a native of Lakeland, LA and a resident of Greenwell Springs. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Vincent W. Bellelo, two daughters and spouses; Sonya B. Clement (Huey) and Vanessa B. Shaffer (Charles), a son and spouse; Bryan K. Bellelo (Janet), grandchildren; Lacee' Lynn Shaffer Sweezy (Beaugh), Marlana Shaffer Firmin (Pete), Heather Marie Clement, Wade Montgomery (Emily), great-grandchildren; Charlie Sweezy, Layna Sweezy, Annie Firmin and "Baby" Firmin, sister-in-law, Mary Boudreaux (David) , brother-in-law, Carl Bellelo (Margaret), sister-in-law, Bertha Pourciau and brother-in-law, Rena Joffrion and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Jacob and Maria B. Pourciau, a grandson ,Jeffery Montgomery, brothers; Jacob Pourciau, Jr., James O. Pourciau and sisters; Doris P. Cline, Dorothy "Dot" P. Comeaux, Dolores P. Joffrion and a sister-in-law; Lena C. Pourciau Plaia; and a brothers-in-law Herman Cline and Robert P. Comeaux. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 beginning at 10:00am and until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She enjoyed family and friends at cookouts, watching her soap operas and Fox News. The family would like to say a special thanks to the Doctors and staff at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet and the Carpenter House. Pallbearers will be; Charles Shaffer, Huey Clement, Jeff Burnett, Beaugh Sweezy, Pete Firmin and Dillon Altazan, honorary pallbearers will be; Charlie Sweezy and Jacob LeBlanc.
