Betty Worthy Haulard, born on February 18, 1942, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and strength.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Thomas M. Worthy, who passed on January 21, 1973, and Hazel Edwards Worthy, who passed on April 3, 1982.
She is lovingly survived by her four children and four grandchildren, who were the absolute center of her world. Betty’s love for her family knew no limits; she would have walked through fire for her children and always placed their needs above her own. Her care, loyalty, and unwavering devotion will be felt for years to come.
Betty had a green thumb and found joy and peace tending to plants and watching things grow. She loved starting her mornings by reading the newspaper, staying informed, and engaging with the world around her. She was also a gifted sketch artist, expressing her creativity through art with remarkable skill and patience.
For fifty-plus years, Betty dedicated herself to public service through her career with the Louisiana Department of Motor Vehicles. Her strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment reflected the woman she was: steadfast, dependable, and proud of the life she had built.
Above all else, Betty will be remembered as a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a woman whose strength was matched only by her kindness. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
