
Bonnie Duke DeSilva, originally from New Orleans, and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend, sister, daughter and aunt. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Robert E. DeSilva Sr.; four children, Darah DeSilva Bradford and husband Tom D. Bradford Jr., of Greensboro, N.C., Robert E. DeSilva Jr. and wife Bridget Sullivan DeSilva, David I. DeSilva, and Ainsley DeSilva Bishop and husband John P. Bishop; grandchildren, Kelsey, Cameron and Mackenzie Bradford, Catherine, Emily, Nathan, Andrew and Madeline DeSilva, and Joshua, Benjamin and Noah Bishop; and sister, Deborah Duke Morvant and husband Dr. Dale Morvant, of Covington. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Duke Sr.; and mother, Catherine Olsen Duke. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and Loyola University in New Orleans. Visitation at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., on Friday, April 1, from 10 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at noon. Entombment in Hope Mausoleum, New Orleans, on Saturday, April 2, at 11:30 a.m.
