Bonnie R. McLain

Bonnie Arnold McLain, age 91, passed away on March 8, 2024. Born August 11, 1932 in Laran, Louisiana to her beloved parents; the late Raymond Clyde and Gracie (Moton) Nash. Loving mother of Shelley Arnold Helouin (Randolph) and Tanya Arnold Browning (Donald). Step-mother to John Mclain (Wendy) and Bruce Mclain (Carmen). Grandmother of Angela Baker (Robert), Keri Tweed (Gregg), Dustin Arnold, Daniel Helouin, Ashley Ball (Keith) and Taylor Browning (Maeghan). Great-grand-mother of Evan, Sydney and Brady Tweed; Sarah Beth Ball and Brooks Browning. Bonnie is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews with a huge heart for Julie Smith and Daryl Thames who were very special to her.

Bonnie preceded in death by first husband; Charles E. Arnold and her second husband; William A, Mclain , her parents, two brothers, one sister and her Son; Charles Stanley Arnold.

After graduating from Spearsville High School Bonnie attended Spencer Business College before settling down to be a stay at home mother. She attended Trinity Baptist Church and Park Forest Baptist Church. In her free time she loved to crochet, camping with her family, gardening, decorating and antiquing.

Pallbearers will be Randolph Helouin, Daniel Helouin, Donald Browning, Taylor Browning, Evan Tweed and Brady Tweed. Honorary will be her nephew; Daryl Thames.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA, 70815 at 12pm. Visitation will begin at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
