Brenda Ann Stewart

Brenda Ann Isaminger Stewart passed away on October 6, 2022. She was born in New Orleans, LA on October 18, 1939 and was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. She was a hard worker holding down multiple jobs and earning two retirements while living on the river in St. Amant, LA. Her home was always full and she never met a stranger. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took pleasure in being surrounded by her family and friends. She was married to Carl Ronald Stewart for 55 years and they had five children together.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Greenoaks Funeral Home Reception Center, 9607 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA from 9 am – 12 pm.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ronald Stewart; her son, Joseph Paul Stewart; father, Herbert Isaminger, Jr.; mother, Olga Bourgeois Isaminger; step-mother, Bernice Smith Isaminger; sister, Joan VanBuren; nephews, Darren Bradley Cross, Matthew Browning, Dustin Gore, and Trey Allemond.

Brenda is survived by her four living children, Carl Ronald “Ron” Stewart, Jr., Dana Stewart Gibson (Jim), Tamra Stewart Hilburn (James), and Craig Lewis Stewart (Susan); brother, Herbert L. Isaminger, III (Robert Richards); sisters, Karen Cross (Gary), and Vash Ti Isaminger; nieces, Sharon Haddad (Jon), Karen Oliver (Robert), Joan VanBuren, Twila Isaminger, and Jennifer Cross; daughters-in-law, Tammy Braud and Karen Lonidier Stewart; and her extended family, Frank and Gina Lidberg. She has ten grandchildren and their families, Amber Stewart Chambless (Chet), Brittney Stewart, Kristen Gibson (Adam), Chelsea Stewart, Sarah Hilburn Gandy (Jason), Katherine Gibson Goodloe (Hunter), Christopher Stewart, Lauren Hilburn Allemond (Andrew), Shelby Stewart Theriot (Kendall), and Kimberly Gibson.

Brenda is also survived by her 22 great-grandchildren, Logan and Gabe Chambless, Alexander and Elijah Stewart, Colton, Caden and Carleigh Reed, Hawk Browning, Amelia, Harrison and Baby Gandy, Archer Goodloe, Emma, Easton, Evelyn and Elise Allemond, Hilari, Tucker and Kamryn Theriot, Hunter Gore, Haidyn Stewart, and Hayes Landry.
