

Carl Jessen Crouse, Jr. was born in Hammond, LA on August 17, 1934 and died on April 12, 2011. He lived most of his life in Baton Rouge where he graduated from Baton Rouge High School and attended Louisiana State University. He spent most of his career working as a programmer for the Louisiana Department of Highways. He is survived by his brother James G. Crouse and sisters Jane C. Crawford and Lillian Ernestine Crouse Potter. In addition he leaves behind his nieces Diana Miller, Janet Crouse, Cynthia LaRue and Laurie Castilaw and nephews Alan Crawford and Geoffrey Potter. He is also survived by his uncle, Joe Drury and his aunt, Margaret Sternberger and Carl’s beloved adopted family Cheryl and Dwayne Ducote and their children Krystal, Jeremy and Hunter are also left to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Georgia Crouse; brother Joe F. Crouse; and nephew David Crouse. Carl was kind, generous and loving to his family and many friends. He always had a smile on his face and something cheerful to say. We all loved him dearly and he will live on in our hearts. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday April 16, 2011 from 10am until time of services at 12pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
