
A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 4:41 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009. She was 63 and a native of Bunkie. Mrs. Kennedy was owner of John C. Kennedy Income Tax Service and Bookkeeping. She was a loving and devoted mother. She had a charisma that endeared her to so many. She was an avid LSU sports fan. Survived by her mother, Mary Lena, of Bunkie; two sons, Carl and wife Cheryl Kennedy, of Baton Rouge, and Todd and wife Delilah Kennedy, of Denham Springs; three daughters, Karen and husband A.J. Saltalamacchia, of Mandeville, Christi and husband David Cutrer, of Watson, and Kimberly and husband Chris Leep, of Baker; two sisters, Linda and husband Paul Dufour, of Baton Rouge, and Nancy and husband Darrell Thiels, of Alexandria; three nieces, Angela and husband Heath Williams, of Wiggins, Miss., Melissa Dufour and fiancé Philip Castleberry, of Baton Rouge, and Christina Bello, of Alexandria; 14 grandchildren, Austin and Ashley Kennedy, Jake, Madison and Sydni Saltalamacchia, Caitlyn, McKenzie, Cameron and Kennedy Cutrer, Sanielle and TK Kennedy and Lauren, Annalise and Joseph Leep; great-grandchild, Hanna Kennedy; and many other extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by her father, Joseph V. Lena; and husband, John C. Kennedy. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Jan. 16, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 17, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Saturday.
