"Catherine was born in New Orleans and resided in Metairie, Louisiana most of her life. She moved to Baton Rouge in 2006. Catherine was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Catherine was a faithful Presbyterian and will be missed by family and friends who thank God for her long life of 97 years. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Leithman Gieseler and William Gieseler; her first husband, Rollin Samuel Orr, and second husband, David Hackney; her son, William Brooks Orr; her sister, Gloria Gieseler Boone; her brother, William Gieseler; and her sisters-in-law Elaine Gieseler and Ella Gieseler. Catherine is survived by her brother, Richard Gieseler; brother-in-law James Boone; children Paul Richard Orr, wife Julie; David Daniel Hackney, wife Deborah; Mary Hackney Eshenour, husband Michael; Walter Wade Hackney, wife Kristi; grandchildren, Paul Rollin Orr, Michael Leever Orr, Emily Orr Williams, Claire Orr Sweeney, Molly Elizabeth Orr, Sancy Alice Eshenour, Alice Eshenour Aucoin, Walter Gordon Hackney, Annie Wilcox Boyajian, David Nicholas Hackney, Darah Hackney Robbins, Daniel Hackney, Lawrence McAlpine, Jr., Elizabeth McAlpine Geary, Jeffery Michael McAlpine; and 16 great-grandchildren.
