Her careers included modeling, working as a secretary and being the successful business owner of two Baton Rouge gift shops, The Store and Cacky's Corner. Although she enjoyed these endeavors, her true joy was found in her family and in serving the Lord in teaching God's word. She was a charter member of The Chapel on the Campus and former member of Broadmoor Methodist Church and St. John's United Methodist Church in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Hansbrough, lovingly known as Cacky, was devoted to God and her family and held firmly to the words of Deuteronomy 6:5, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Cacky lovingly served her family, sharing her wisdom and love for Christ. She joyfully devoted her life to the Lord through her work as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader, Christian speaker and friend to so many in the Baton Rouge community who were touched by her life, blessed by her wisdom and prayed over by her precious hands. Many people were led to the Lord Jesus Christ because of her passion in sharing the Gospel. Many special thanks to the devoted sitters who cared for her in recent years, especially Dorothy Henley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Services of Baton Rouge, The Chapel on the Campus or to the charity of your choice .
