"Catherine departed this life peacefully on January 23, 2019. She was born in New Orleans on June 23, 1925; was raised in Erwinville; and resided in Baton Rouge for over sixty years. She was a homemaker, a business woman, and was active in many church and community organizations over the years. Catherine is survived by four children, Joseph, Jr., David, Mary, and Catherine (Broussard), and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Prokop, parents, David Lee Robertson and Magda Mercedes Aleman Robertson, and sisters, Shirley Lis Robertson Steiner and Ruth Robertson McCusker. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019, with a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank or to your favorite charity.
