Catherine Rushing Hollingsworth passed away on June 20, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 28, 1933 in Tylertown, Mississippi. Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.
She had an extraordinary faith and has now joined her husband George in heaven, who was the love of her life. She will be deeply missed by her three children: Susan Hollingsworth Morris, Mike Hollingsworth and wife, Gaye and Mark Hollingsworth and wife, Terrie. Kay Kay’s pride and joy were her five grandchildren: Matthew Morris and wife, Ashley, Hope Hollingsworth, Blake Hollingsworth, Lauren Hollingsworth Kinchen and husband, Hunter and Todd Hollingsworth and wife, Charlotte and her five great granddaughters: Harper, Remi, Piper, Palmer and Kate.
Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, Captain Oliver and Dorothy Rushing; her siblings, Ann Richmond, Wendell Rushing, and Wilton Rushing. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Busbin.
Visitation and the funeral service will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 23. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 11:00am with the service beginning at 11:00am. Burial to follow.
