Catherine Ann "Cat Ann" Townsend a native of Vicksburg, Miss and resident of Baton Rouge went to be with Jesus Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the age of 72. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd on Monday, December 23, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm and again on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 from 11am until funeral services in the chapel at 1pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Mrs. Townsend is survived by her husband Lawrence Townsend, a daughter and son-in-law, Tyronza T. and Michael K. Long, three grandchildren, LeTasha Allen and husband Jeremy, Joshua and Jonathan Long, three great-grandchildren Hailey, Trinity and Katelyn Allen, and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie A. and Sammy Sims and Rebecca V. and David Bigby. Preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Townsend, parents Bill and Ina B. Vail, and brothers Mickey and Andy Vail. She loved to learn about the Lord and always believed in praying to Him about everything.
