A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, she passed peacefully away in her home on Saturday, March 19, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends. She was 96, born Dec. 17, 1914. She was a beautician and serviced her faithful clients for more than 70 years. Visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 22, from 11 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Jerry Young. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Gail Petro; lifelong friend, Aline Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Lippian; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Michael; five sisters and four brothers. Pallbearers will be Steven G. Smith, Dr. John B. Lopoo Jr., Alan Stablier, Tony Petro, Thomas Hess and Johnny Michael. Honorary pallbearers are Skipper H. Rawls, Edward A. Petro, Charles Pate, Dr. Louis Tonore, Dr. Steven Wilson, Dr. Richard Eckman and Michael Williams.
