BENNETT, Charlene Mavis WilliamsMrs. Charlene Mavis Williams Bennett died peacefully on April 14, 2016, surrounded by her family, at the age of 87. She was a native of Ackerman, MS, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, and a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Cecil E. Bennett; her daughter Susan C. Lillie and her husband Thomas H. Lillie; and her son, Perry D. Bennett. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Bennett Wells and her husband William Wells, Amy E. Bennett, Paul C. Bennett, and Nicholas T. Bennett; great-grandchildren: Avery M. Wells and Carson B. Wells; a sister, Wyllodean Fondren of Arlington, TN; and a brother, Clyde T. Williams and his wife Catherine Williams of Ackerman, MS. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Charlie P. Williams and Minerva Bagwell Williams (formerly of Ackerman, MS); two sons, Gary Thomas Bennett and Timothy Wayne Bennett; and grandson, David Bennett. She was a loving wife, an awesome mother, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, and a caring and wonderful sister. Visitation will be on Monday, April 18, 2016, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 11am until funeral service at 2pm in the chapel, conducted by Rev. Hawley Wolfe. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
