

On March 25, 2014 at the age of 73, Charles Lee Barbay went to be with the Lord. He died at Nottingham Regional Rehab Center. Charles Lee was a graduate of Catholic High School in 1958. He joined the U.S. Army after graduation serving his country for six years. He worked at Industrial Hardware for many years and then retired at Wal-Mart after eighteen years. He enjoyed watching LSU Football and Elvis movies and listening to Elvis's music. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Friday, March 28, from 9:30 am until religious services at 11:30 am conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Charles is survived by his son, Bryan Barbay; one grandchild, Shane; a brother Curtis and wife Christine Barbay; a niece, Tammy Pinsonat; a nephew, Mark Barbay; a great-niece, Destiny; and a loving aunt, Ruth Channey. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles M. Barbay and Hester Channey Barbay; grandparents, Joe and Effie Barbay and Lafayette and Daisy Channey. His family would like to say a special thanks to Nottingham for taking such good care of him. Also, his brother would like to thank his friends and neighbors who cared so much for him.
