It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Charles DiPalma. A loving son, brother, father and grandfather. CJ passed away on August 26, 2022 in Houston, Texas at the age of 69. CJ was born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 25, 1953 and grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He lived several years in Katy, Texas and was a recent resident of Hammond, Louisiana, a choice he made to be closer to his grandchildren. He was a graduate of Broadmoor High School and Southeastern Louisiana University as well as a retired teacher, band director and a life-long musician.
CJ is survived by his loving family, his father, Sebastian (Bus) DiPalma of Baton Rouge; his brother and sister-in-law, David (Dizzy) and Kim DiPalma of Baton Rouge; his daughters, Heather Foster of Hammond and Stephanie Kessinger and son-in-law, Kevin Harvey of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; his son, Sebastian DiPalma and daughter-in-law, Emily of Denham Springs; and his son, Roman DiPalma of Katy, Texas. He is also survived by his three beautiful grandchildren, Kellan Foster, Kinsley Harvey, and Kevin Harvey III.
He will also be missed by his nephews, Ben DiPalma (Erin) and Luke DiPalma (Brittney) and niece Sarah DiPalma and by many family members and friends across state lines.
CJ is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn DiPalma; grandson, Sean Michael Foster; grandparents, Carmen and Virginia DiPalma and Joseph and Rose Iannantuoni. While we mourn our loss here on earth, we take comfort in knowing that CJ is playing bass alongside the greats that have left before him.
