

"Charles "Bee" R. Jarreau, Sr. passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the age of 86. "Bee" was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Greenwell Springs. A graduate of Istouma High School, he was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He received a BS from Southeastern and received his Master's Degree at LSU and retired from the Louisiana Department of Education. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Audrey Browning Jarreau of Baton Rouge, a son; Charles R. Jarreau and wife Lisa LaFleur Jarreau , a daughter; Susan Jarreau Webe and her fiancé Glenn Bennett, grandchildren; Lauren Jarreau Daigle and husband Brian, Brooke Jarreau Huval and husband Sam, great-grandchildren; Emery, Charlotte and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by parents; Frank and Elizabeth Wolsefer Jarreau, a sister; Margaret Ann Conrad and a brother; Ralph Jarreau. "Bee" was an avid hunter, fisherman and LSU fan. Visitation will be Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. starting at 9:00am with services in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm with burial to follow at Resthaven Garden of Memory. Pallbearers will be Brian Daigle, Sam Huval, Glenn Bennett, Roy Bassett, Pat McMahan and Clay Harris, with Honorary Pallbearer; Robert Raborn. Special thanks to his caregivers; Kim Patterson and Lois Trahan, also the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, especially Barbara Burton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
