

Charles Leon “Pete” Langlois passed away at his home in Greenwell Springs on Monday, December 29, 2025. Born in Baton Rouge on May 5, 1937, he was 88. He was a retired carpenter and was also a veteran of the United States Army (PVT (P) E-2) stationed at USATC INF Fort Jackson South Carolina. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus (3rd and 4th Degree), and was a graduate of Catholic High School in Baton Rouge (Class of 1955). Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Frank V. Langlois, Sr. and Mary Enola Langlois; his wife of 56 years, Audrey Duplessis Langlois; brothers: Frank V. Langlois, Jr. and John William Langlois, Sr.; three sons: Charles Leon Langlois, Jr., Christopher Langlois, and Jeffrey Langlois; and granddaughter, Mikki O’Neal. He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie L. O’Neal (Gary); son, Paul E. Langlois; sister, Sybil LeSage; five grandchildren: Megan O’Neal Rhodes (Ryan), Ashley Williams, Blake Christopher O’Neal (Mikayla Gerald), Zachary Paul Langlois (Sierra Yoder), and Jordan Hinckley; and four great-grandsons: Eli James and Jack Michael Rhodes, and Nathan Charles and Mack David O’Neal. Visitation will be on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5pm until 8pm at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, at 10am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, celebrated by Rev. Michael J. Moroney. Burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pete’s family thanks the staff and caregivers at Heart of Hospice for their care and comfort in his last days.
