Cheryl McLin Doiga

Cheryl Lynn McLin Doiga, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Oscar, LA, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the age of 54. She was a 1976 graduate of Redemptorist High school; Cheryl worked in admissions at Women’s Hospital before retiring from 28+ years of secretarial work at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother and sister who had a passion for reading and will be missed dearly by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Cheryl is survived by her mother, Cherie McLin Reeves and her husband Hollis Reeves; daughter, Jennifer Meagher and her partner Mark Larkins; grandson, Noah Francis Larkins; brother, James Randall McLin and wife Mary; niece, Lauren McLin Lozano and husband Lonnie; nephew, Adam McLin; special godmother Clydia McLin; godfather, Thomas McLin Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Doiga; father, James Francis McLin; and maternal and paternal grandparents. The family would like to extend their gratitude to her loving caretakers Rena Robinson, Kim Munson, and Debbie McBride for their exceptional work and compassion. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 9am until memorial service at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
