
A loving husband, father, brother and grandfather who will be greatly missed by all who knew him, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at 11:15 a.m.at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 79 and a native of Pitkin. He retired as vice president of B&H Air Tools and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., was on Monday, March 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Louis Boyd. Interment inGreenoaksMemorial Park. Survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Cloud Sweat; son, Walter Sweat; daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Sweat Desselles and Steve Desselles; three grandchildren, Rodney Sweat, Robert Desselles and Keith Desselles; sisters, Alma Perkins, Gilda Rae Richmond and Mittie Jean Cloud. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ephriam and Rosa Sweat; an infant daughter, brothers, Pete and Shelton Sweat; and sister, Ethel Sweat. Pallbearers will be Keith Desselles, Wayne Cloud, Noah Cloud, Gurvis Cloud, Clyde Cloud and Mike Perkins. He was a member ofFloridaBoulevardBaptistChurch.
