Connie P. Allen

Connie Beth Palmer Allen, age 79, a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away on February 1, 2026. She was born on October 23, 1946, in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. Connie devoted 33 years of her life to education as a teacher, a calling that reflected her patience, dedication, and love for learning. She had a deep fondness for writing in journals and faithfully wrote every day until the passing of her beloved husband. Connie also found joy in bargain hunting and could often be found browsing thrift stores, always delighted by a good find. She was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Dennis “Speedy” Spedale Allen; and her parents, William Hamilton Palmer and Clyde Louise Bankhead Palmer. Connie is survived by her sons, Brad Spedale Allen (Kristen) and Brandon Palmer Allen; her cherished grandchildren, Dawclyn Badeaux and Grant Allen; her brother, William “Ross” Palmer (Carol); numerous nieces and nephews; and her lifelong best friend of 74 years, who was like a sister to her, Judy Walker. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home & Crematory East, 11000 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on February 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Burial will take place at Louisiana National Cemetery, 303 W. Mt. Pleasant Zachary Road, Zachary, Louisiana, on February 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to extend special thanks to Clarity Hospice and Harvest Manor Healthcare and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care.
