A truck driver for Associated Grocers with seven years of service and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 61, a native of Simmesport and a former longtime resident of Pointe Coupee Parish. Graveside service at Chenal Cemetery, Chenal, on Tuesday, March 18, at 10:30 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Steve Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda Jarreau Guillot; mother, Nell Armond Guillot; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tressy and Jeffrey Gleason and Heidi and Bret Barrick; brother, Douglas Guillot Jr.; and 10 grandchildren, Jordan, London, Oren, Evan, Jennellyn, Jacques, Lyndl-Grace, Meryl-Klaire, Mayra and Lauryl. Preceded in death by his father, Douglas Guillot Sr.; and granddaughter, Molly Kate Gleason. He was a member of Chapel on the Campus.
