"Constance "Connie" Marie Politz, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, May 27, at the age of 57. She was a former softball throw competitor and medalist in the Special Olympics. She loved Family Feud, Minnie Mouse, LSU, and listening to oldies music. She had a deep faith in God, and was a devoted member of her church, St. Alphonsus. She is survived by: her mother, Elizabeth D'Antoni Politz; her brother, Thomas "Tommy" Politz, and his wife, Rosanna "Rosie" Politz; nieces, Blair Politz Grimmett and husband Wayne, and Mary Politz Dwyer, and husband Kevin; her great-nieces and nephews; and family and friends. She was preceded in death by: her father, Marion Francis Politz; paternal grandparents, Samuel Politz, Sr. and Mary Territo Politz; and maternal grandparents, Dominic D'Antoni and Mary Nicholas D'Antoni. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Visitation will continue at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 31, until a Funeral Mass to be held at 11:00 am.
