Cora L. Roy

A homemaker, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Alexandria, she died at 10:08 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age of 87. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, July 30, from 9 a.m. until the religious service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Joseph Arogyasami. Interment will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Lee Cosse and husband Louis and Carolyn Gayle Satterthwaite; son, Richard H. Satterthwaite; daughter-in-law, Nancy Satterthwaite; sister, Ida Marie Levesque; four grandchildren, Louis Cosse Jr. and wife Marrianne, Carolyn Lee Findish and husband Ron, Bonnie Gayle Durham and Reneé Cosse; and five great-grandchildren, Hunter, Cody and Daniel Durham, and Ryan and Lauren Findish. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Roy Jr.; son, Edwin J. Satterthwaite; and parents, Norman P. and Enola Dozier Lawrence. She was a member of St. Mary of False River Catholic Church. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society.
