Danny retired as a lab technician from ExxonMobil with 34 years of service. A native of Zachary, he died at 7:14 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at his home in Central. He was 59. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Tuesday, Oct. 5, from 4:30 p.m. until a memorial service in the chapel at 6 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Charles Bennett Jr. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda Parks Bennett; daughters, Alicia Kennedy and Lindsay Bennett, both of Central; brother, the Rev. Charles Bennett Jr. and his wife, Dorothy; grandson, Austin Bickham; granddaughter, Morgan Bellgraph; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Lucille Price Bennett; brother, James Darryl Bennett; and nephew, Jacob Chapman. Danny loved to bowl, hunt, fish and play golf. LSU was always number one to Danny. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
