Darryl Ray Valentine quietly passed away on August 1, 2013 in Frisco, Texas after a long illness. Darryl was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 5, 1945, and was a lifelong resident until moving to Texas to be closer to his son in 2012. The joys of his life were his grandsons, Zachary Kyle Valentine and Tyler Scott Valentine. In addition to Zack and Tyler, Darryl is survived by his beloved son, Jason Scott Valentine and daughter-in-law, Dawn Rawls Valentine; his sisters, Linda Chidester and Janis Donellan; his brother, Jerry Valentine and sister-in-law Tammy Valentine; five nephews, seven nieces, and many great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Alder O. "Bill" Valentine, and mother, Rose Mae Brignac Valentine. Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East. A brief visitation will also be held at Rabenhorst East at 10am Monday, August 5, 2013, followed by services in the chapel at 11am. Interment will follow at Green Oaks Memorial Park, where Darryl will be laid to rest next to his father and mother.
