
Dr. David Charles Greeson died December 22, 2014, at the age of 45. He was born February 19, 1969, in Pensacola, Florida, and was a resident of Baton Rouge, where he practiced adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry. Dr. Greeson received his medical degree from Louisiana State University and began his residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He completed his general psychiatry residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he also completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and was Chief Psychiatry Resident. Dr. Greeson was board certified in adult psychiatry and has served as Medical Director at Chiron Wellness Center, Jefferson Oaks Behavioral Health, West Seattle Highline Mental Health, and Greeson&Gilkes, LLC. David will always be remembered as a brilliant doctor, devoted father, and a lover of music (especially a good New Orleans brass band) with a great sense of humor, and a kind, empathetic friend. He is survived by his children, Sophia and Sabine Greeson and his wife, Dr. Jennifer Gilkes; parents, Dr. Charles and Cheryl Greeson; brother, Dr. Scott Greeson; sister, Dr. Jennifer Greeson and niece, Ella Burst. Visitation is at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, on Saturday December 27, at 1:00 p.m., with the service at 2 p.m. Following the service, a jazz processional burial will be held at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
