David Sheets

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” David Sheets passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was born on April 11, 1960 in Baton Rouge and resided in Denham Springs. David had a great passion for the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved his dog, Yogi. He is survived by his son, Stefen Sheets and his wife Melissa; grandson, Liam Sheets; father, Roland Sheets; sister, Janice Sheets Allen and her husband Don; niece, Kristy Allen Poynor and her husband Mickey, their children Caleb and Addye; and nephew, Jacob Allen and his wife Kim. Preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Chaney Sheets; paternal grandparents, Jacob and Addie Sheets; and maternal grandparents, Boatner and Dora Chaney. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 10:00 am until the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
