

David Patrick Woodward “Pat” passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025 at home. Pat, a native of Baton Rouge, was born on July 6, 1957. He graduated from Istrouma High School class of 1975. Pat went on to work as a pipe fitter for Local Union 198. He very proudly worked with them for 34 years until retirement and continued to support Local Union 198 until his death. Pat was the most loving man to everyone he encountered. To know Pat, you only knew the love he shared. He was an incredible brother, father, grandfather, and friend. He was happiest spending time with family, his dogs, and especially visiting his grandchildren in Washington state. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert “Woody” Woodward and Betty David Woodward of Baton Rouge and by his fiancé Kimberly Hays. He is survived by his sister Barbara Woodward Price (Brent) of Baton Rouge; brother Robert S. Woodward Sr. “Steve” (Judith Quave) of Baton Rouge; his stepdaughter Meghan Czarnik (Jeremy Czarnik) of Lacey, Washington and their children Karsten Sanders (Julie Roof) and Zuri Brack; and his most cherished dogs Moonshine and Holly. The family would like to sincerely thank all the physicians and nurses that cared for him at Our Lady of the Lake and every single friend and family member that encouraged, supported, and loved him as he went through his life’s journey. His funeral service will be held on Monday July 7, 2025 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Rabenhorst Funeral home (11000 Florida Blvd) followed by being laid to rest at 2:00 pm at Greenoaks
