Deanna Marie Guidry Burson, 82, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Flannery Oaks Guest House. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA, with Reverend Michael J. Allelo officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenoaks Memorial Park & Mausoleum. Visitation will begin at Rabenhorst - East on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. concluding after the rosary at 7:30 P.M. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Thomas More preceding the Mass. Deanna G. Burson was born in Port Arthur, TX, but lived the early part of her life in Basile, LA, having graduated from Basile High School in 1959. She had been a resident of Baton Rouge for the last 50 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Robert A. Burson. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmother with an incredible sense of faith, humor, and immense love for all things LSU. She truly cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters; Lydia (Rod) Kron of Mableton, GA; Anne (Stephen) Andre of Erwinville; Sue Ellen (Brent) Sarrazin of Slaughter; Amy (Luke) Dowden of San Antonio, TX; and sons, Robert (Jennifer) Burson; Andrew (Aimee) Burson; and John Burson all of Baton Rouge; a brother, Lenward Guidry of Mobile, AL; a sister, Linda Lafleur, of Welsh, LA; along with a 15 grandchildren: Bryan Kron (Lauren), Emily Bonifacio (Justin), Breann Hudnall (Jeremy), James Burson, Joey Sarrazin (Erin), Heather Larkin (Eddy), Robert Sarrazin, Louis Sarrazin, Lili Burson, Ethain Burson, Kathryn Pinion (Jacob), Sarah Andre, Gabe Dowden, Issac Dowden and Henry Dowden; 8 great-grandchildren: Brennan Sarrazin, Evangelyn Pinion, Amelia Melancon, Rosie Pinion, Cody Kron, Charlotte Kron, Conner Kron and Caleb Kron and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers: Bryan Kron, Brent (Joey) Sarrazin, Louis Sarrazin, Robert Sarrazin, Justin Bonifacio, Jacob Pinion, Eddy Larkin, and Honorary Pallbearer Issac Dowden.
