Demetrios George Fivgas, a native of Greece and a resident of both Atlanta and Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the age of 90. Demetrios was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Demetrios is survived by his wife of 48 years Maria Demetrios Fivgas; son, Dr. George Fivgas and wife, Dr. Mary Stringfellow; grandchildren, Katherine George Fivgas and Sophia Charles Fivgas all of Baton Rouge; sister, Kerasia Berdanis of Greece; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 8:30 am until Funeral Service at 10 am. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
