Donald was a beloved son who will be truly missed, by his mother, and many friends and family members. Donald had a very big heart and always helping others when he could. A former manager at K&B in Tennessee, he was a resident of Denham Springs, and native of Aurora, Illinois, he passed away Thursday November 14, 2013 at the age of 53. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Sunday November 17, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm. Visiting will continue at the funeral home on Monday November 18, 2013 from 10am till service time at 12pm, conducted by Colen McClendon. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Donald is survived by his mother Edna Downey; nephews Cory and Lance Downey; sister-in-law Sheri Downey; great-nephews Ayden and Kroy Downey; great-nieces Kyleigh and Raylen Downey. Donald was preceded in death by his father Donald B. Downey Sr., and brother Michael R. Downey. He loved playing his guitar and listening to music.
