He was born July 18, 1945, in Baton Rouge where he resided through high school. He died Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Houston, at age 64. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Friday, July 16, from 10 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Phil Woodland. He is survived by his mother, Frances Harris Harvey, of Baton Rouge; and brother, George Milton Harvey, his wife, Alice, and their children, Sara, David and Rachel, all of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Charles Harvey Jr. He was a National Merit Scholar, a member of Boy Scouts Troop 50 at University United Methodist Church and later received degrees in architecture from Rice University and Princeton University. Most recently, he thoroughly enjoyed his work and his associates at Marmon Mok in San Antonio. He loved music and was a school band member, played guitar and was a vocalist in an amateur band, was an artist and exhibited his artwork early in his career. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
