Caston, Edgar E. 94, resident of Baton Rouge and native of Gillsburg, MS passed away at Baton Rouge General Medical Center Mid City at 2:30 pm on Friday October 14, 2011. He was a retired Lab Technician at Exxon with 36 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his loving wife and friend of 72 years Helen Needham Caston, two sisters Helen Easley Hodges and Annie Ruth and husband Robert Brownie, brother Lindy and wife Annie Mae Caston and many numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Caston, son Terry Caston, brothers Arthur, Vardaman, Bilbo and G.C. Caston, sister Marie Caston. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge (225) 925-5331 on Monday October 17, 2011 from 8:00 am until religious services in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 am. Conducted by the Rev. Donnie Easley. Burial will follow in Resthaven Garden of Memories. Mr. Edgar attended Hinds Junior College in Raymond, MS. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, music, reading and duck hunting. Mr. Edgar was of the Baptist faith. Very special thanks to his devoted niece Janice Depino.
